Do Not Disturb Not Working

I still receive notifications from messages, whatsapp etc even when do not disturb is activated. Any advice?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

Is your iPhone locked when you receive the messages? Do Not Disturb only works when the iPhone is locked.

Hmmm... Ok it does work while locked... When i was testing it the iphone was obviosuly unlocked!
