Can I sync files saved in pages on my iPad to my macbook pro?

Well, you can sync them with iCloud, and then load files from iCloud on the MBP provided you have 10.8 installed, Documents and Data turned on in your iCloud preferences on both devices, and the latest versions of Pages (must be '09 with all updates) on the MBP.
