Q: Custom made leather cover for my mac mini i7? Is it possible or will it choke my powerhouse?

I want to protect my mac mini from dust and give it a classy look at the same time, my neighbour has a leather goods manufacturing workshop so I was thinking of asking him to make a skin for my Mac, however I am not sure if it will be feasible for my Mac as it can choke the air ventilation and supply. Can anyone please help me?

thats like sticking a leather coat on your pet dog in the hot weather, its just going to pant more and expire easier.

that aluminum chasis is for cooling (maybe even more than the air intakes) the system,....leather is going to defeat that system,

nah, not a good idea in reality

Just make sure that the ventilation openings are not obstructed.

Personally, I wouldn't, I think the Aluminum case is part of the cooling system.

The aluminum case is pretty classy on its own, IMO. And AL is a great conductor of heat, which probably aids the cooling of the system. I'd say leave it as is.
