video can't be played on ipad nano

I have an ipod 7th generation nano. I've synced all music to it without a problem. I've tried to sync tv shows and keep getting a message that they can't be synced b/c they can't be played on the ipod. When the shows downloaded, they were in HD-SD format. Since that didn't work, downloaded one in only SD and still keep getting the same message when I try to sync. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

See if the video follow the 7Gen Specs.

  • H.264 video: 720 by 576 pixels, 30 frames per second; Baseline, Main, and High-Profile level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 256 Kbps; 48kHz; stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats
  • MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 Mbps, 720 by 576 pixels, 30 frames per second; Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 256 Kbps; 48kHz; stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats

If not, then try to convert the video format using Handbreak (for Windows or Mac). Try to go what it says here above.

If you use MP4 format, it may look HD but its really SD and shrinks the memory size. Better than AVI. or MOV.

Hope this helps.
