My D drive disappeared itself!! and I had all my music files in it. Now I have my music files in my ipod touch 2G but I need it in my PC too. Before I could retrive it using 'show hidden files and folders' option. But now I even can't do that. Is there anybody who can help? Also is there any way that I can transfer songs from ipod touch to my pc? Thank you in advance.

Are you saying you can't find the showing hidden folders option? It took me a long time to find this option whereas before it was "right there." If that's the case I can tell you where to look.
iDevices are not backup devices.
Use the backup of the computer to put the content on the computer.
iTunes purchases can be transferred from an iDevice to a computer by select File > Transfer Purchases with the device connected.
Thank you Elsie. But what I meant to say was that I didn't find the files in the ipod's storage drive even if I checked the "show hidden files and folders" option. Some 1 or 2 years ago I could look up into the files doing the same thing. But now I can only see DCIM folder and nothing more. And my whole music files is in the ipod only and I want it in my computer too. I looked for many ways but I just can't do that. Can you help me in this case? Thank you for your time
Thank you diesel vdub. I tried what u said but it did not help. I think it's because I haven't purchased any of the songs from the itunes store. I had it in my computer and I dragged and dropped it to the ipod via itunes. Before I could get into the ipod's repository (though in encoded form). But now I tried many ways but I can only get the DCIM folder(with photos). So is there any way you can help? I will be much obliged. Thank you for your time.
iPod's are not and have never been storage devices.
All the content should be in iTunes on the computer or a backup.
