TimeCapsule (my old) not compatible with my new iMac

I'm using my new iMac OS X10.8.4 and all my old info is on my Time Capsule , nightmare, my new system will not allow the TimeCapsule CD to put software on my computer, I can't use my TimeCapsule and therefore all my old info,my LIFE,is stuck. My old iMac was compatible

Please advise

You don't need the Time Capsule DVD. OS X already comes with the software you need to set up the Time Capsule.


First, make sure that your Time Capsule is plugged in. Then, open AirPort Utility (in /Applications/Utilities) and follow its steps, so it will connect to the Time Capsule.


If you want to restore a lot of files from the Time Capsule, use Migration Assistant > http://pondini.org/OSX/MigrateLion.html If you want to restore a few files > http://pondini.org/TM/E3.html
