It is updated to the iOS 4.2.1 version.... many of the apps I am getting will not transfer over to my iPod either. Is there a later version I can get so they will work?

The 2G iPod can only go as high as 4.2.1.

I just spent $20 on a movie and now it wont sync to or play on my iPod.
