I just purchased a 27 inch viewsonic monitor for my 15 inch macbook pro. The image is very large and fuzzy, appears macro, it also doesnt fill up the whole monitor. Any help would be amazing thank you!

We only had a VGA to mini displayport cord at the moment. It has hookups for DVI, VGA and HDMI. Do you suggest another? Also I found when I change the display to not mirror my laptop, the macro size of all my screens/text decreases and it looks dramatically better. Is there anyway to change to these settings and be able to have the dock on this monitor? Or do I have to wait for Mavericks?

For example, the main toolbar on by screen is much larger than on my macbook in comparison to the size of the screen. It just looks like all my text and icons/toolbars are blown up and severely out of proportion to the size of the screen. I want to find a way for everything to decrease in size and have the same proportionality that my icons/toolbars do on my macbook screen. Thanks SO much!

Use a mini displayport to DVI (MDP-DVI) for this job.

1920 x 1080. Thats the specifications of the monitor . I am just concerned that maybe my 15 inch mac isnt capable of showing a good resolution on this large of a screen? I just cant imagine that so many people use this size and say it works great. I must be doing something wrong.
