Finder window closes

This seems to have just started:

If I have a finder window open, and that window is displaying the contents of a thumb drive, and I eject the thumb drive, the finder window closes.

Seems like it used to just highlight something else.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 6.1.4, 13" Late 2012

Maybe this will help. If you monitor the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads.
