Deleted music from my computer still on my iPhone ?

So i had a bunch of old music on my itunes that I no longer wanted, so I deleted the music off my itunes from my imac computer. When i synced my iphone, thinking the deleted music would just come off of my phone, it didn't. I really would like to know how to take this music off my iphone without having to manually go on my iphone and re-delete all of that music. Thanks!

Try this two-step process ... assuming you are not using iTunes Match. (If you're using iTunes Match, you'll need a few extra steps.)

1. Plug your iPhone into iTunes to sync. Let it sync. Then go to the "Music" tab under the iPhone's area in iTunes, and uncheck the sync box. Click "Apply" at the bottom right. You will likely be warned that this will remove all music from your iPhone, which is, in fact, true (hopefully).

2. With your iPhone still plugged in, and while still on the "Music" tab, check the "Sync" box that reflects your wishes (presumably to sync all music, which at this point only resides on your iMac's iTunes. Then click "Apply" again, and be patient as it all transfers to your iPhone.

That should do it!
