Q: why won't pics downloaded from my camera show up on photostream?  I can't move them from the import file to photostream.

pics from my iphone and ipad show up on photostream, but not pics downloaded from my camera.  all attempts to move or share with photostream do not work.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

    What version of iPhoto are you using?  How are you trying to add  the camera pics to Photo Stream.  Like this?

     

    1 - select the photos you want to add to PS.

    2 - click on the Share button and select Photo Stream

    What do you mean by "Import file"?  You select the photos in the event in iPhoto and use the "Share" button, as described by Old Toad.

     

    If the photos will not upload, it usually helps to reset the PhotoStream by disabling it in the iPhoto preferences and enabling it again.
