formating
i really want to format my mac its 10.6.8 but i dont know how ..
please help???
Formatting is done as a last resort. Why do you feel the need to reformat?

I too wish to formate my Mac 10.6.8. I tried to make a partition, but i interrupted the task in between since it took a long time. but then i lost the space allotted for the new partition. ( no partition was created and also i lost the space.) i had allotted 100GB. how to recover this space. if there are any other way to recover this space it would be fine.
if not i have to formate.

Boot off the DVD, open Disk Utility, select your hard drive, and then take a screen shot of the drive so people can see what the partition status is.
