Stop iPhoto from opening when I insert a memory card

How can I stop iPhoto from automatically opening when I insert a memory card w/ pictures on it into my mem card reader?

PowerMac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Open the Image Capture application and turn off the option to open iPhoto when a camera is connected from the Preferences menu, and if that doesn't work, change the settings in the CDs & DVDs pane of System Preferences.

Welcome to discussions!

Run Applications/Image Capture, and set the preferences for what application to run when a camera is connected to No application.

Launch Image Capture.app in your Applications folder, and under Camera in the General tab of Image Capture's Preferences, choose another application or 'No application' from the drop-down menu next to 'When camera is connected, open:'.
