AirPrint photos don't always print full-size

Using AirPrint to print photos from our iPhones - sometimes the photo prints small - instead of full 4x6, it prints 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 centered on the 4x6 paper - only happens once in awhile - any idea why this happens or how to make sure the photos print full-size?
