invalid sim and no sim message with iphone 4s?

i have recently been getting the "no sim" or "invalid sim" message on my iphone 4s. iv tried all that i know from removeing the card and putting it back in, rebooting phone seems to work 4/10 of the time and will get the same message after like a half hour. i took my iphone to the bell store and bought a new sim card and im still getting this message so i do not think its the sim card itself??? any ideas on how to fix this? it is very annoying 😟

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.4

iv done everything this artical has said to do and still get this message. it was working fine to a couple of days ago

Well, you could mail it via Apple Care if you do not want to go to the store. I can understand, as my closest Apple store is 2 hours away. However, since you have already done everything in the troubleshooting and have gotten a new SIM and it is still not working, then Apple is the next step.
