icloud for xp

Why I cloud does not work on windows XP, is there anything I can do to make it work?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities

iCloud works in XP, but only if you access from a web browser. iCloud Control Panel is designed to work with Windows Vista SP2 and newer, so you can't make it work with Windows XP.

To access to iCloud from the web browser, open http://www.icloud.com. You will get access to the same features as with iCloud Control Panel except Photo Stream

Thanks, I new this, but icloud on a web browser does not sincronise all my contact from Outlook and the Notes/calendars: I can only sicronising contacts one by one creating a vc card for each contact which obviusly, as you can immagine, would take years for over 1000 contacts.

I have read online that there are ways to modify Icloud so that could possibly work but so far I had no luck.

So my questions are:

- Is Apple planning to work at updates so that Iclud can also work for XP? Not everybody is willing to chage operating system on a PC that wprkd more than fine...

- Is there anyone that knows a way of installing Icloud on XP and could tell me the exact procedure?

1. If Apple hasn't added Windows XP support yet, they won't add it. iCloud Control Panel is in the Control Panel, so there may have been problems with Windows XP and that panel. I don't think that Apple dropped Windows XP support for iCloud because they wanted, more when all their apps like iTunes are compatible with Windows XP, but I might be wrong.

2. Read above. If you want, have a look at the Internet to search ways, but I don't think you will find something that works
