Im having this problem on my iphone 5 even connected in wi fi or 3g. To test, i watched the same you tube video on my iphone 4 simultaneosly and this blurry image only happens to the iphone 5. Any idea how I can fix this problem? TIA.

Try resetting the iPhone 5 > iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data will be lost as a result of a reset.
Then try the YouTube app again.
