I can't sync my itunes movies to my 1st generation ipod touch. However, I can sync with my iphone 4S. All itunes movies should sync with movie capable apple products, right?

If the device can sync and play iTunes movies, yes. After syncing open the Videos app on your iPod.

You problem is likely due to yo trying to sync HD videos to the 1G. The 4G and 5G can play HD videos but the 3G and below can only pal SD videos. If iTunes purchases try downloading the SD version and then sync.
