Help!!!! Old Projects make FCPX 10.0.8 crash.

Hello,

I just upgraded FCP X to 10.0.8 , because of another external HD with projects done with that latest version.

However now if I try to open the versions done with the previous 10.0.7 version the app crashes.

Work well with new projects , but the older projects are impossible to wiork with. There´s like one months work in the older projects...

Anyone with any good ideas?

Prefs killed & app reinstalled already, machine ok...what to do?

Been using FCP since 1999, now mostly working with Premiere, but sometimes according to the client using this FCPX, too.

That's a bit strange. If I remember correctly, many of previous updates required updating projects from previous versions, but not 10.0.07->10.0.8. Did you get a warning telling you that projects needed updating to work with this version? And if so, did you let them update?

Hi!

I get the warning, and waited them to upgrade,

but then in the middle of that process FC crashes :(

You could try a process of elimination. Move half of the old projects aside, start FCP X and see if it can update the other half of the old projects, and so on.
