Your screen shots didn't work. But Nessus is network security software.
As is often the case with such software, it appears to be messing up your computer. I'd dump it.

Tenable Network Security: How to uninstall Nessus on Mac OS X?

Uninstall the Nessus Security scanner. You really don't need it. If you feel the urge to run anti-virus, then use ClamXAV, either from the Mac App Store or their website.
I would, except I don't have or ever had Nessus security scanner installed. Which is a little worrying.
I looked at the uninstall link you posted and found I only had nessus files in the Library folder.
There was no directory /Applications/Nessus and nothing matching /Library/Receipts/Nessus*.
Anyway, deleting from the library folder has solved my issue and my fan has stopped running (thank goodness).
Much appreciated.

Thanks both for the info. I still find it worrying how it was even on my system. For now though back to work.
Good!
