Q: When I use AirPlay I get a message Apple TV Not Available "Living being used by someone else TV is being used by someone else"

When I use AirPlay to mirror to Living Room TV I get the following message 'Apple TV Not Available "Living Room TV is being used by someone else"

But noone else is using the living room TV. Can you help?

My suspicion is there is another device in the house that was never disconnected when it was done using Apple TV. I would check the other devices in the house that have access. If no other devices are holding on to that connection restart your Apple TV and try to connect.

Classroom scenario:  We have Apple TVs in classrooms.  If a teacher is using the Apple TV to display their device & forgets to disconnect, leaves the room . . . next teacher comes in . . . if they still see the other device being mirrored they can kick them off by pressing the menu button on the remote.  However, when they then try to connect, they get the "In use by someone else" message.  Only solution we've found then is to restart the Apple TV.  So, is this truly the only solution?
