Making Annotations in Preview PERMANENT

Hopefully this hasn't been asked somewhere else.

I have annotated lots of PDF's in Preview on my MacBook. It appears that these annotations are not permanent. When I have uploaded them to a site called Moxtra, they are uploaded as the raw PDF that I started with, without any of my annotations (ie. highlighting, titles, footnotes, etc.). Is there an easy way to make these annotations totally permanent (similar to flattening an image in Photoshop)?

After you annotate, ⌘+P then click the PDF dropdown and save as PDF. That will create a flattened PDF with the changes.
