imovie 8.0.6 error -50. Can't export

Hi,

I have made a video on my imovie (version 8.0.6), but when I go to export the video to YouTube or my desk top it comes up with the following error message:

"Unable to prepare project for publishing. The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (-50)"

I have seen other people have this problem but I either can't find an answer or when an answer is given, I don't understand it/how to do it...

Other information I see might be relevant:

- I'm using a Macbook pro

- I have lots of clips under 2 seconds

- I have lots of splits in the clips

(therefore don't really want to remake the video as it's quite long)

- I have used a mp3 for the backing track and muted the video footage audio.

- I have plenty of room on my hard drive.

What does the error mean? Can anyone give me a simple step-by-step solution to this problem please?
