Iphoto photos do not appear in media browser

Using Iphoto 11 and Lion OS. I have made many imovies with still pics in the past. I just started a new project. Clicked on camera icon to upload photos. Chose Iphoto icon. My iphoto library does not appear. What is going on?

Hi

iMovie and iPhoto - uses libraries. One can select in iPhoto to use another one (Library) and then iMovie can not see photos in the old one - they are in sort of relation to each others.

• In iPhoto - select to use the other (old) Library

• Close iPhoto

• Now first let iMovie start up

• and let it create all thumbnail photos

And now You see the ones in the old iPhoto Library

Yes this is confusing

Else

iPhoto - Library got corrupted (not so rare situation)

Medicine - YOU NEED - lot's of time (several hours - can not be Paused safely), Computer running on Power/Mains - not only battery !

• Close all programs

• Start iPhoto - BUT NOW KEEP [ alt + cmd ] keys down during up-start

• Select all options

• Do something else for a long long time

• When done - Close iPhoto

• Open iMovie

• and let it create all thumbnail photos
