Jul 11, 2013 8:32 PM in response to Philly_Phanby popeyews1,Thank you. I'm hesitant to buy used for fear of that. Recently my daughter had her iPhone stolen, so I know how easy it is and how hard.

Jul 13, 2013 3:36 PM in response to popeyews1by Vivikus,I'm not sure about everyone else, but every Apple product I've ever bought I have kept the reciept for. That goes for all my electronics and valuables. I keep them for many reasons, one of them being to PROVE that it is my product in case someone tries to steal it.
Ask for a reciept. If one can't be provided then I would remain hesitant.

Jul 13, 2013 5:48 PM in response to popeyews1by Texas Mac Man,Ask the seller for the iPad's serial number. Then call your local police dept to see if they have it on the list of stolen iPads.
Cheers, Tom
