Replaced Trackpad, now Click and Drag does not work.

My Trackpad stopped working on my 5,4 MacBook Pro MC118LL/A so I purchased and installed a new one.

Now the click is working and and the cursor is working but I can't click and drag to move something either to the trash or from a window to the desktop etc.

I can select the 3 finger drag in the trackpad prefernces and that will work but I am not used to working that way and I want to get the click and drag working.

Any ideas?
