How can I know if my feed has been removed?

My podcast has been operational since 12/20/2012. I have received news and announcements as late as 3/21/2013. I have received no notifications that there were any problems, or that it has been removed.

Recently I discovered that it wasn't searchable on iTunes, but could be subscribed to manually. I found an error in one of my posts. After I corrected it, the feed was able to be validated. All the FAQ says is that a podcast might be removed if there is a technical problem that is uncorrected for a length of time. The page with the error was posted on 4/20/2013. Would that cause my listing to be removed from iTunes store? How can I know for certain if this has happened?

I have searched the forum, and could not find how to verify the status of my podcast. I did read that some received email notification of their issues. How can I confirm my status, so that I could start over if necessary?

Your podcast does appear to have been removed from the Store. The feed appears to be OK and can be subscribed to manually (this doesn't involve the Store, your iTunes application reads the feed directly).

If a feed is not working for a time it is likely to get removed from the Store and since your podcast doesn't appear likely to breach any of the unacceptable contents rules that's probably what happened.

I'm afraid you will have to resubmit it as an entirely new podcast. You will need to change the title slightly or the automated part of the submissions process will tell you that it has already been submitted.

Thanks for the quick response. Now I see that I need a new URL as well. Podpress has an option for that, but the language on apple support page is very technical. It looks like there will be a few days delay for my subscribers. My best traffic is on the weekends, so I am thinking I should wait until Monday.

In another post you said that the title can be changed back later. Is that done in Podpress? I have found not dashboard in iTunes anywhere so I can edit my preferences.

You can't edit anything in iTunes: all it does is read the feed.

You should be able to change the title tag in PodPress (though I can't advise on how).
