screen rotation does not work

screen rotation does not work

i am having a problem where i send a text the screen does not rotate so i can text or email in landscape the only option i have is to turn the phone off and on again any help out there guys?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

Hiya , while in e mail hold the power button until ,slide switch to power of shows, then just hold the home button untill it shuts down , then turn back on as normal ,
