I have a FiOS (ActionTec Rev. I) Router - My mbpr can connect just fine to the router and maintain the connection. However, when I reboot, it appears the laptop cannot initially connect to the router. I see the wifi icon changing as it is searching, but the SSID is checked and other networks appear below the icon. If I turn off wifi and back on, the laptop connects just fine. It seems to be the initial connection after a reboot.
SSID is enabled/shown
WPA2 is security
Channel is not auto but set to 9 (changed from auto to see if it would help)
Mode - b/g/n compatibility
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
