Mac Pro 5,1 is supported for VMware ESXi 5.1 but I am not finding anything about the RAID controller being supported and ESXi is not currently seeing my drives. Does anyone know the answer for this?
Thank you for the reply. My question is not about windows though. I'm trying to install VMware ESXi software and it is not seeing my drives. I'm wondering if the Apple RAID controller is a supported device.
Installing any other operating system won't work with the card.
The card is only useful as an SAS or RAID5 controller, and with drives of 2.2TB or less (32-bit firmware limitation)
ESXi comes up from time to time - I don't have but should bookmark one, or maybe I did.

To check is the raid card works you need to search it in the VMware comparability website.http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php
