Until now, since 1984, nothing about apple has confused me until "apple TV" and how to stream material from my iphone 5 or MacBook Pro to Apple TV. Give up, too confusing!

Until now, since 1984, nothing about apple has confused me until "apple TV" and how to stream material from my iphone 5 or MacBook Pro to Apple TV. Give up, too confusing! Age, I suppose but why so difficult?

MacBookPro 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.9), Also Power Book G4

It shouldn't be all that difficult: Just press the AirPlay button that appears to the right of the playback controls on your device and select your AppleTV.


If this button is not appearing then first go into your AppleTV settings and make sure AirPlay is on. If it is and still nothing, then there might be a problem with your wireless router. If so try unplugging said router, wait a couple minutes, then plug it back in.
