I need the font style century gothic for a project im working on, but neither my final cut pro x nor my photoshop have this font style. Where do you get/buy new fonts?
Final Cut Pro X, Mac OS X (10.7.4)
Century Gothic is a standard system font. Check your Font Book. If it's not there Google will find it in a second.
Yeah, I was suprised its not included in fcpx or photoshop. Its not in my font book

That's something wrong with your system installation I think. It's in every system I've ever seen. You can buy it if you wish.
You could try to install Combo
I never noticed before but I don't have the font in 10.6 and 10,8 but do have it in 10.7. Kind of odd.

Maybe it gets installed with something else? For example, I have MS Ofiice on the 10.7 system but not on the others.

It doesn't come with Mac, but if you install/download Microsoft Office for Mac (trial version even) you'll get it.
I found the font by inspecting the compressed packages that come with the Office "trial" installation, from memory.
Not sure if they've closed this "loophole"
