I am trying to set up Time Machine for the first time, and linking it to a seagate go Flex external harddrive, but I keep getting the error message
OSS Status Error 6602
What does it mean and how can I get around it.
I have manually transferred files from my Mac to the hard drive before but cannot get time machine to set up.

Is the drive connected to this computer?
What Format is the Seagate?
Its connected via mr broadband router
I do I find out the format of the Seagate..? I just plugged it into the mac the first time and manual dragged and dropped files.
Does this help.
Open Disk Utility when it's plugged into the Mac, highlight the Partition, not the drive, then click the blue Info icon above...
And, I'm not sure TM will work with just any Router or not.
