iPHoto crashed, lost photos from a specific event. Reloaded photos from camera however now can't remove "blank" event icon from events? Icon is grayed out, shows just a palm tree, cannot get info, cannot delete using delete key or file delete...etc...any suggestions welcome. I think that event file is corrupted but don't want to lost the other events and photos which are just fine. help?

backup (to assure that you do not losething), depress anf hold the option and command keys, launch iPhoto and use the first aid window to rebuild the iPhoto library database

thanks for your help. Was able to finally drag the event to the iPHoto trash and then delete it. Was not able to drag it to the "trash" on my Dock. So I didn't have to do the "rebuild" the thought of which, scared me big time....Did do the backup again, just in case. Many thanks for your help.
The Dock Trash bin is not used when deleting from iPhoto. One always uses the iPhoto Trash Bin in the left hand pane. With Mt. Lion when empthing the iPhoto Trash bin the files are moved to the Trash bin in the Dock.
