I keep getting a message from "Apple" with the heading "please verify the email address associated with your Apple ID> There is a wonderful big blue apple in the e-mail to show how "legitimate" its is. It threatens to freeze my acount within 24 hours if I don't take action (handing them the key to the apple store I suppose. Anyway -- be aware!!

If it does not tell you to go to apple.com (instead of giving you a link that goes to some unknown place) you run away fast.
Also I will ask the moderators to edit that address out so no one tries to use it and gets scammed.
