Q: How to close 1) Microsoft Database Daemon and 2) SyncServicesAgent

I have a licensed version of Office for Mac installed.  Every time I try to do the automatic updates, however, it gets stuck at this point:

 

Must close these two applications before installation:

 

  1. Microsoft Database Daemon
  2. SyncServicesAgent

 

I cannot find a way to manually close these two applications, therefore I cannot finish the update. I am running OS X, V.10.8.4.  Can you please give me steps on how to CLOSE "Microsoft Database Daemon" and "SyncServicesAgent"?  Thank you.

Thanks to some other postings in the community, I found an answer!

 

Here's the info from Microsoft.  I tried it and it worked:
