Downloaded book does not download on top of sample book.

I downloaded a sample of a book. It was free & decided to get it. It says it downloaded, but it is still only the sample. Any ideas? I tried re-downloading, and I re-booted my iPad.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.11)
