Upgrading iTunes to 11.0.4 shuts down my computer, why?

I've tried upgrading iTunes to the latest version (11.0.4), but every time it shuts down my computer, and it turns itself on again.

I've never had this problem in the past and don't understand why I can't upgrade to the latest version without problems. Does anybody know how to upgrade iTunes without it turning off my computer?
