Q: itunes freezing(windows xp)

my itunes will freeze when started after i tried to import a music folder from my drive,now when i run it it will freeze upon starting and lockup the whole pc as well.even control/alt/delete dont work.have tried uninstalling it and other components relating to it and in this order

itunes

quicktime

apple software update

apple mobile device

bonjour

apple application support

when it trys to run even after all these ares uninstalled my library is still there?

the folder i selected by mistake is about 60gb of music,i meant to select some albums from it

even tried to install it on another drive other than c:drive still the same,

tried an older version as well ver10 am on ver11 at the moment

also tried starting itunes in safe mode control/shift

still does the same

any suggestions

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

    ok tried  a new user account and it works ok,so now what do i do to make it work with my account as i never had another account before

    Rabbf3,

     

    Creating a new user account identifies if the issue is user specific or system wide.  As everything seems to work in the new user, the issue has been identified as user specific.  Log back into your old user account and go through the steps in the same article starting with the section labeled User-specific troubleshooting.  Make sure to test the results after each troubleshooting step processed.

    i think it maybe the gap thing as i was importing a folder at the time and remember thats where it froze determining the gap,so it may well be the library

    so i have these files which one do i remove

     

    itunes library genius= itunes database file 32kb

    itunes library extras= itunes database file  16kb

    itunes library=itunes database file              1,201kb

    itunes music library=xml document            6,773kb

     

    also  it.tmp file 6,781kb
