My Iphone 4 started virbrating for no reason and would not stop for 3-4 minutes post which the phone died.

My Iphone 4 started virbrating for no reason😕 and would not stop for 3-4 minutes post which the phone died. Nothing would stop the vibration, seemed like it had a mind of it's own!

Simultaneously pressing the home & the power button for 8-10 seconds brought the my phone back from the land of the dead.

What worries me is that the phone is just 7 days old and I spent a fortune (atleast for me) buying it 😟.

I'm planning to take it to the Apple guys here in chennai, I hope Apple replaces it with a brand new set.

Waiting for the experts to comment/advise...cheers!!

Basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Try each of these in order until the problem is resolved. If you've been through all these steps and the trouble persists, you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation. Be sure to make an appointment first at the Genius Bar so you won't have a long wait.
