You can do the RAM/memory (8GB max) and a SSD or a 7,200 hard drive (SATA 3Gb/s) can't upgrade the graphics.

Memory Slots

2 - 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

2 4GB RAM modules from Crucial.com should do it.

The machine is almost 5 years old, if the keyboard/trackpad is worn out then it's usually not worth upgrading.

If you have been using a external keyboard and mouse, thus your built in one is still good, then sure you can upgrade the machine.

We are all end users here like yourself and volunteers. If you want "fast," suggest that you do your own research. Google and Bing are your best friends when it comes to research. 😉 Also, this is the weekend which tends to be slow. I'm just passing through. 😝
