On my iphone 4s. Whenever i try to compose a new text message or forward an existing message there is a draft message that is stuck in the text body, how can i get rid of it?

On my iphone 4s. Whenever i try to compose a new text message or forward an existing message there is a draft message that appears in the body of the text ( SMS) and seems to have been stuck there. I have to manually delete it and then write a new text ( SMS) or copy and paste content I want to forward.

How can I remove that draft message?

Messaging in iPhones does not have "draft" capability. What iOS version? Jailbroken?

Not a draft message, but some text in the box provided to type the message. The same text automatically appears everytime i want to create a new text ( sms) or forward an exisiting text ( SMS)

Reset the phone (no data loss): press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.

I have tried reset, hard reset, wiping the phone off and restoring data, but still same problem.

A friend of mine called me today with the same issue. No idea how to resolve this, never heard of it before. She has a message that she used to forward before now permamently stuck. Even when she selects some other message to forward, that old text appears instead, thus making FW-ing unusable.

Really weird.

Have your friend delete all of the messages for the individual whose message keeps appearing in that box. Then, have them reset the phone, as described above. See if doing that fixes things.

Its not the message sent by any individual but there is a message stuck in the message body when trying to compose a text message or forward a message.

So weird.
