charger warranty

I understand that everything in the iphone 5 box has a one year warranty, so what do I do to get a new charger?

I only have an iStore franchise in my town, not an apple store?

As you don't say which country (this is a WW forum )

Either go to nearest Apple genius bar ,if in US or see here

and pick your country from country dropdown menu (also valid for US if you are nowhere near an Apple Store)

why not it gives all the information you need 😕

Take it to who ever you received the iPhone from.

However

Uk law requires seller to take initial responsibility but most savvy users go to an Apple store where Apple will honour the warranty over the counter

I have no idea but if you cannot get to an Apple Store ,O2 are legally responsible for the warranty

So take it to them and ask for a replacement ( all iPhone5 are in warranty )
