I'm having a similar problem. I have several email accounts from the same ISP. I can receive messages in all of them except in one (not receiving emails in my Mac since the 4th July). However, I can see and receive the emails in my iPad and my Iphone for that account that doesn't download the emails in my Mac.

Curiously, I can actually send email from my mac with that account but not receive them there (I see the emails in my iPhone and iPad).

I have not changed anything and I have the same set up and settings for all the accounts.

Strange....

This is true for me as well. I can't receive emails on my MacBook (OS 10.6.8), but can send them ( ever so slowly) and my iPod Touch can receive and send like normal.

I have the same problem...i'm constantly missing some email on my mac, but not on other devices or web server...while i have no problem sending out email at all....

Don't ask me why or how but the issue I had with my e-mail account seems resolved now and it's downloading e-mails again.

I don't remember doing anything else apart of re-starting the computer and Mail a few times and do some clean-up (deleting old e-mail messages).

I'll let you know if I get this issue again...
