I am trying to import my pictures

Hello!

I am trying to import my pictures & videos to my laptop. The thing is, my laptop keeps saying that there is no new pictures/videos from my iPad. Is there anyway possible that I could fix/reset or import my pictures/videos another way. My pictures are important, but my videos are more important. I am a YouTuber and I need to start editing my video for my channel. Please help!
