Q: Can a 1GB IPod Shuffle (model A1204 - probably 1st Gen) be made to work with a 64 bit computer?

Can a 1GB IPod Shuffle (model A1204 - probably 1st Gen) be made to work with a 64 bit computer?  I have never used this IPod which I receivede as a gift in 2008.
