If you still have access to the old Mac, you might try using Migration Assistant to transfer applications to the new Mac.

However, Logic Express 8 and earlier are PowerPC applications which are no longer supported (in 10.7 and 10.8).

Logic 8 WILL run in 10.7 or 10.8; you just need to use Pacifist to install it on those platforms.
