My iPhoto source list doesn't have an EVENTS section which contains individual events in list form, similar to the ALBUMS section. I'm not talking about the EVENTS shown under Library at the top of the source list. How can I create this EVENTS section?

But you can not "create" a section in iPhoto
Maybe you need to click on the small light gray triangle to the right of events to show event rather than hide them?

This is not a matter of hiding or unhiding detail within events. There is no events section at all (other than the main events within library). I have seen the mystery section in another person's laptop and would like to install it on my desktop. I'm running Mountain Lion and iPhoto 9.4.3.
If you want that then you'll need to purchase and install Aperture. Only libraries that have been opened in Aperture and iPhoto have that.
That answers my question! Since I don't have Aperture, and the person I saw with this feature did have Aperture, the connection is now obvious. Thank you!
