LCD Display Replacement

Dear All,

The LCD display of my MBP appears to be dying out.

On the right half of my screen vertical lines of various colors have come up like a color bar graph., the display begins to flicker very fast sometimes, dont know what triggers it. This display flickering has caused the system to crash much too often in the last one week. Even a fresh install hasnt helped.

Apple repair in india says that the LCD screen is not available with apple.

The screen in my MBP is LP154WP2-TLA1 color LCD.

I have googled and found that LCDS are available at ifixit.com.

Apple has used Chi Mei screens also.

How do I know which one to order for my MBP?

Help will be appreciated

Regards.

In order to make certain that you're ordering the correct screen for your model, you should get in touch with the good people at ifixit.com.

The only problem that I forsee is that the problem may lie with your GPU and not your screen. Is there an AASP in India that could run diagnostic tests for you before you commit to replacing the screen yourself?
