My 3g hotspot is on but not showing up on my ipad or iphone!

I have a hotspot through verizon on my galaxy tablet that I use for internet I recently havent been able to get my gmail acct open on it after changing password went to verizon they said for m to reset password I got back home I tried again before changing passwords AGAIN, well it went through just fine now I cant connect the wi-fi to either of my apple products. (ipad/iphone4).
